XCOM 2: War of the Chosen Tactical Legacy Pack is a free update that introduces new missions bridging the gap between Enemy Unknown and XCOM 2.
XCOM 2: War of the Chosen Tactical Legacy Pack will introduce three new game modes, Legacy Operations, Skirmish, and Challenge. This DLC will launch on October 9, 2018 on PC and Steam and will be free until December 3, 2018.
Legacy Operations introduces four new stories taking place in between XCOM: Enemy Unknown and XCOM 2. You control Central Officer Bradford and other leaders of the resistance as you fight through multiple combat arenas featuring new and remastered fan favorite maps from Enemy Unknown/Within. There is no base management in this mode, just rapid fire fights. Weapons and armor from Enemy Unknown/Within are also included, and will be implemented into XCOM 2 with other features. Players can also pick from the XCOM 2 soundtrack, Enemy Unkown soundtrack, or a new score inspired by the original XCOM: UFO Defense game.

Each of the four stories introduced in the Tactical Legacy Pack revolve around forming the Resistance and fighting the alien threat. “Blast from the Past” begins Central Officer Bradford’s journey to build a resistance after the fall of XCOM. The eternal castle [remastered] download free. “It Came from the Sea” has you protecting a DJ from waves of aliens. “Avenger Assemble” sees Lily Shen as she retrofits the Avenger into the home for the resistance. Lastly, “The Lazarus Project” is a rescue operation to find key members of the resistance kidnapped by ADVENT.
Skirmish Mode will allow you to create and play your own missions by editing map, squad load outs, objective, enemies, and many other mechanics. Challenge mode will simply allow you to play through 100+ War of the Chosen challenges as often as you want.
The Tactical Legacy Pack will require you to own XCOM 2 as well as the War of the Chosen expansion. This DLC will be free for owners of those games until December 3, 2018, after which you can purchase it for $7.99 USD. It will be added into the XCOM 2 Collection pack, with no change in price. War of the Chosen was an expansion to XCOM 2 that launched in 2017 and introduced a reworked campaign and many new elements, much like Enemy Within to its previous game XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
Firaxis Games have released the Tactical Legacy Pack for XCOM 2: War of the Chosen this week, and it comes with a few different options in gameplay. - Resistance Archives – Engage enemy forces in series of tactical missions increasing in difficulty.
- Skirmish Mode– Create and play your own custom XCOM tactical missions using the included editor that allows you to modify various settings (map, squad loadouts, objective, enemies, and more.)
- NEW MAPS: Engage in battle across 28 new maps including remastered maps and scenes from XCOM: Enemy Unknown and XCOM: Enemy Within. These new maps will be featured in Central's Archives.
- NEW WEAPONS AND ARMOR: Equip your soldiers with reimagined versions of the conventional, laser, and plasma weapons, as well as Kevlar, Carapace, and Titan armor from XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Complete Central's Archives to unlock these new additions for use in the main single player campaign.
